Originally from Palermo, Italy, and later studying in Bologna, artist Pietro D’Angelo started his career as a sculptor working in marble and stone. Pietro moved away from chipping away at stone to the tedious and innovative style of paper clip art. The light that bounces of the paper clips adds character to the sculptures. These life-size sculptures are made by creating a wire frame and attaching large quantities of paperclips. Carrying on with stationery he is now experimenting with thumb tacks.
